 The Mills, a landmark conservation project of Nan Fung Group, is dedicated to using creativity and technology to perpetuate and transform Hong Kong's textile history and spirit, offering diverse artistic, cultural and retail experiences to the public, inspiring a new generation of creators, and bringing more possibilities to the community. This autumn, The Mills will present the 'Sanrio characters Autumn Creative Party' on 4-5, 11-12 and 25-26 October, collaborating with multiple local creative units to bring over a hundred new creative products inspired by the top three winners in Hong Kong: Cinnamoroll, Kuromi and Hello Kitty. The event will infuse local cultural elements into these globally popular characters, bringing surprises to their fans!

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sanrio character ranking, Sanrio is holding a grand festival to thank fans for their support. One of the highlights is Sanrio's first collaboration with The Mills in presenting the 'Sanrio characters Autumn Creative Party'! The exclusive main visual of the event is created by local popular illustrator Pei Chung, who depicts the top three characters in Hong Kong - Cinnamoroll, Kuromi and Hello Kitty - exploring various iconic landmarks and cultural elements of Hong Kong, such as Lion Rock, red minibuses and neon signs, in a dreamy and nostalgic local setting.

In addition, a weekend market will be held at The Mills for three consecutive weekends, featuring 19 local creative units that draw inspiration from the top three characters to craft over a hundred diverse creative products through different mediums, including clothing accessories, handmade perfumes, delicate ornaments, and even desserts and snacks. Each piece showcases the craftsmanship and creative imagination of local artists, with some incorporating Hong Kong elements for a more intimate touch. Fans who love collecting special edition items should not miss this opportunity!

Fabrica X Upcycling Sanrio Character Card Case Workshop - Create your own unique card case keychain

Continue the creative journey and experience the joy of handmade crafts while contributing to environmental sustainability! Fabrica X, a retail experience store under The Mills advocating a sustainable lifestyle, has collaborated with Sanrio to present the 'Upcycling Sanrio Character Card Case Workshop'. Participants will use recycled denim fabric to make their own card case keychains, featuring the top three characters from the 2025 Sanrio character ranking embossed on the fabric, along with three-dimensional accessories, resulting in a one-of-a-kind accessory to carry their favourite Sanrio character with them all the time!

Hong Kong SPCA 'Cat Colony Care Program (CCCP)' Exhibition - Promoting kindness to animals

As a cultural creative landmark that is pet-friendly, The Mills will present the 25th-anniversary activities of the 'Cat Colony Care Program (CCCP)' by the Hong Kong Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (HKSPCA) in October, featuring eye-catching JEKCA cat-shaped block toys that will surely become a photo hotspot! HKSPCA will also join the 'Sanrio characters Autumn Creative Party' on 25-26 October, offering a range of exciting activities, exhibitions and treasure hunts to commend the program's contribution to enhancing the welfare of cats in Hong Kong and to promote animal kindness.

During the weekend market, visitors who purchase three or more charity raffle tickets at the HKSPCA booth will have a chance to participate in the 'Cinnamoroll Meet-and-Greet' and take photos with Cinnamoroll, who has once again won the first place in the Hong Kong region of the Sanrio character ranking.
